Trespass Against Us UK Release Date Set for MarchAdam Smith’s terrific feature directorial debut premiered at TIFF last September, and has been on the festival circuit for much of the past few months. Lionsgate has confirmed the Trespass Against Us UK release date is now set for March. And they’ve launched a new UK trailer to get us all in the mood for the crime drama/thriller.

Michael Fassbender and Brendan Gleeson are terrific in the leads, sharing excellent chemistry in the film, which boasts A24 as a distributor in the US. Along with confirmation of the Trespass Against Us UK release date and the new trailer, we’ve also got a new trailer featuring Fassbender and Gleeson. I was lucky enough to catch the film at LFF and thought it was brilliant – you can read our review here – and really hope it does well here in the spring.

Three generations of the notorious Cutler family live as outlaws in the Cotswolds, the heart of Britain’s richest countryside. The Cutlers live by their own rules, practising their own way of life—poaching, pilfering and provoking the police. Chad (Michael Fassbender) finds himself torn between respect for his archaic father, Colby (Brendan Gleeson), and a desire to forge a better life for his children. When Colby coerces him into a major robbery one night, Chad is faced with a choice that will change his life forever. Should he follow tradition and do his father’s bidding as his rightful son and heir, or should he break the chain and set out on a new path?

With the law cracking down on the clan, Colby tightening his grip on the family, and prejudices among the local populace becoming ever more hostile, Chad discovers that his destiny may no longer lie in his own hands…

Lyndsey Marshal, Sean Harris, Gerogie Smith, Kacie Anderson, Rory Kinnear, Killian Scott, Tony Way, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Gerard Kearns, and Flora Stuhldreer round out the ensemble cast.

Smith, who’s spent a lot of time collaborating with The Chemical Brothers, directs from a script by Alasdair Siddons (In the Dark Half), who makes his debut as a writer too.

Fassbender will have some strong competition from his fellow X-Men star. Hugh Jackman’s final turn as Logan hits cinemas on the same day as the Trespass Against Us UK release date. Warner Bros. has R-rated comedy Fist Fight, starring Ice Cube and Charlie Day. And Pathe also has Viceroy’s House, a historical drama starring Gillian Anderson and Hugh Bonneville. Logan and Fist Fight seem like a lock for #1 and #2, respectively. Here’s to hoping there’s still plenty of room for Fassbender and Gleeson at #3.

The Trespass Against Us UK release date is set for March 3rd. It begins its limited release in the US on January 20th, expanding in successive weeks.
