If you’ve been eagerly awaiting your next fix of Clive Owen in early 20th century New York, Sky Atlantic has got you covered. Sky has set The Knick Season 2 UK premiere date for just under two weeks’ time, bringing Steven Soderbergh’s drama back to our shores for another ten doses.
The second season recently came to an end on Cinemax in the US. Ratings for Season 2 have been slightly down on the original series, but the network has still announced they’ve ordered a script for the Season 3 premiere and a season-long outline.
Set in downtown New York in 1900, ‘The Knick’ is centered on the Knickerbocker Hospital and the groundbreaking surgeons, nurses and staff who work there, pushing the bounds of medicine in a time of astonishingly high mortality rates and zero antibiotics.
Owen returns to lead the cast alongside André Holland, Jeremy Bobb, Juliet Rylance, Eve Hewson, Michael Angarano, Chris Sullivan, Cara Seymour, Eric Johnson, and David Fierro.
Soderbergh has once again directed all ten episodes on the second season. Co-creators Jack Amiel and Michael Begler co-wrote eight out of ten episodes, with Steven Katz returning to write two after doing the same on the first season.
The Knick Season 2 UK premiere date has been set for Tuesday, January 12th at 9 p.m. If you’re new to the show, you can catch up on Season 1 with a 14-day free trial to NOW TV’s Entertainment package by clicking the link below.
