Last week, HBO launched a very promising first teaser trailer for True Detective Season 2, announcing it will be debuting in the US this June. At the time, we knew that Sky Atlantic would be its home in the UK, but the broadcaster hadn’t yet revealed its UK premiere date.
Whilst many of HBO’s series air a day after America, Sky does sometimes choose to have a longer gap between the two – Mad Men Season 7, for example, is currently airing on Sundays in America and on Wednesdays here in the UK. Continue reading
Last month, we heard that HBO was making a huge play in territories around the world, simultaneously broadcasting Game of Thrones Season 5 in more than 170 countries at the same time as it plays in the US. Unfortunately for UK fans, Sky Atlantic was not on the list of partners.
But now that has changed. The British broadcaster has announced that they will be following suit from next week’s episode, with the rest of Game of Thrones Season 5 airing at 2 a.m. on Monday mornings, at the same time as it plays in the US. Continue reading
