Toy Story 4 Will Be a Romantic Comedy, Leaving the Original Trilogy Intact

Toy Story 4 Confirmed for 2017, John Lasseter Returning to Direct

Andy-Bonnie-in-Toy-Story-3Four years on from the release of Toy Story 3, and after years of rumours from all sides, Disney has officially confirmed that Toy Story 4 is happening, and that it will be heading into cinemas in Summer 2017.

In the company’s earnings call with analysts yesterday, Chairman and CEO Bob Iger revealed that John Lasseter will be returning to direct the animated sequel, which will be released on June 16th, 2017.

And whilst Lasseter and his frequent collaborators are responsible for the story, Pixar has made a pretty unexpected move with the two writers they’ve signed for the script. Continue reading
