New Poster for Selfless with Ryan Reynolds & Ben Kingsley, Release Date Moves Up Three Weeks

SelfLess-Poster-sliceAt the start of the month, Focus dropped the first trailer for Tarsem Singh’s anticipated sci-fi thriller, Selfless. It gave us an awesome first look at Ryan Reynolds in the lead, putting a new spin on the standard body swap idea.

Through its development, Focus has been shifting its release date from last year to this spring, before settling on a summer blockbuster slot. Focus Shifts Tarsem Singh’s Self/Less with Ryan Reynolds into Summer 2015 Blockbuster Season

Self/Less-Release-Date-set-for-Summer-2015After a series of release date changes in the past year, Focus looks to have finally settled on a release date for Tarsem Singh’s anticipated sci-fi/thriller, Self/Less.

Led by Ryan Reynolds, the film was originally set to be released in September this year before shifting back to February and then April 2015. Now the studio has given what will hopefully be a final push to shift it back to July 2015.

That new window gives it prominent placing in the Summer 2015 blockbuster season, sitting nicely amongst the likes of Marvel’s Ant-Man, Sony’s Pixels, Universal’s Trainwreck, and Fox’s The Fantastic Four.

An extremely wealthy, elderly man dying from cancer undergoes a radical medical procedure that transfers his consciousness to the body of a healthy young man but everything may not be as good as it seems when he starts to uncover the mystery of the body’s origins and the secret organization that will kill to keep its secrets.
