With two flawless seasons behind it, Silicon Valley is easily one of my most anticipated returning shows this year. It’s guaranteed to be among the funniest things on TV in 2016, and its arrival can’t come fast enough. Continue reading
Radius-TWC has released what has to be one of my favourite trailers of the year so far for The One I Love, teasing the brilliantly-developed, genre-blending premise that sets up Charlie McDowell’s debut.
With flawless leading performances from Mark Duplass and Elisabeth Moss, the film opened at Sundance at the start of the year to universal praise, and was fortunately one of the handful selected to cross the Atlantic for Sundance London in the spring.
I fell in love with it here in London, and really can’t recommend it enough. Hopefully this terrific first trailer will excite your cinematic appetites enough to seek it out when it lands in the US next month.
The highly anticipated debut feature from acclaimed author Charlie McDowell, THE ONE I LOVE is an original tale that continues to showcase McDowell’s keen observations of human relationships with a distinct and comedic voice. THE ONE I LOVE, written by Justin Lader, was produced by Mel Eslyn and executive produced by Mark Duplass, who stars opposite Elisabeth Moss. On the brink of separation, Ethan (Duplass) and Sophie (Moss) escape to a beautiful vacation house for a weekend getaway in an attempt to save their marriage. What begins as a romantic and fun retreat soon becomes surreal, when an unexpected discovery forces the two to examine themselves, their relationship, and their future.
Blending elements of comedy, drama, romance, and most intriguingly sci-fi/fantasy, the movie evades easy description and is just a total joy to watch.
Mark Duplass and Elisabeth Moss are absolutely brilliant in their joint leading roles, and with its arrival in the US imminent, Duplass has shared the first poster.
